China and France Work Together to Help Guangzhou Become an International Convention and Exhibition Destination

In the afternoon of September 27, Guangzhou Yuexiu Group and GL Events signed the joint venture contract on Floor 58 of Guangzhou International Financial Center to jointly develop and operate Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center. The signing of the cooperation contract not only marked the official opening of all-round cooperation between the two sides in the exhibition industry, but also conveyed Guangzhou's determination to actively transform itself into an international convention and exhibition center city.

According to the principal of Yuexiu Group, Yuexiu International Congress Center is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Jiefang North Road and Liuhua road in Yuexiu District (the upper cover of Yuexiu park of Guangzhou Metro Line 2). The negative first floor of the project podium building is planned as a business supporting functions; Floor 1-6 are for exhibition function, with an area of more than 50,000 m2. It is expected to be officially put into use at the end of 2019. The exhibition venue is partly operated by Yuexiu Group and GL Events. As the world's largest exhibition service company, GL Events has excellent business capabilities and venue management experience in international exhibitions and conferences. The project is expected to be officially put into use by the end of 2019.
