The 24th South China International Congress of Cardiology (SCC 2023) was successfully held at GYICC from June 8th-11th, 2023! SCC 2023 is a multidisciplinary, large-scale, and high-level academic event in the field of Cardiology diseases in China and even in Southeast Asia. GYICC was filled with guests and exuded tremendous energy and passion.
SCC 2023 was of great scale, high quality, and wide influence - many academicians and experts from various fields attended, contributing to the success of the event.
The conference lasted for 4 days, with a total of 832 experts sharing their valuable insights, 81 forums offering diverse discussions, and attracting over 9,000 experts and scholars to participate.
“Why did SCC 2023 choose GYICC as its new venue?"
GYICC was chosen as the new venue for SCC 2023 because it is a highly internationalized, fully functional, and comprehensive professional congress center in the city center of Guangzhou. It has industry-leading advantages and can provide high-level and high-quality conference services for SCC from multiple aspects. GYICC has previously served several well-known medical summits and academic conferences in various disciplines such as cardiovascular, gynecological endoscopy, hair transplantation, otolaryngology, neuroscience, and respiratory oncology. We established a special communication group called the "SCC Communication Task Force" during the conference. The Assistant Project Management Director has been assigned as the project leader, leading the core teams in on-site services, F&B, and security to organize dozens of communication meetings. We continuously refine and implement every detail of the reception, closely advancing support for SCC 2023.

01 Large traffic advertising space, assist to promote event exposure
For the "conference + exhibition" model, the conference center provides the organizers with a spacious public area, which is planned as an exhibition and advertising area for the conference; the whole hall is covered with advertising space, so the conference and exhibition are just a step away. Attendees can communicate closely with exhibitors outside the meeting room, facilitating convenient business cooperation. Advertising space can be set up at the entrance of the largest lobby and outside each breakout session, helping event businesses achieve promotional campaigns and accurately target conference attendees.
02 Shade protection to provide a comfortable conference environment
To ensure a comfortable conference environment, GYICC quickly arranged property team to install sunshade nets on the glass skylights in the east area. This helps maintain a comfortable temperature in the top exhibition area. The staff also conducts regular temperature checks to ensure that participants attended the conference in a comfortable environment.
03 Service upgrade to enhance the participants' experience
To enhance the experience of the participants, the organizers have placed "water stations" at prominent locations on each floor of GYICC. Our on-site team has proactively added ice buckets for the original water stations to provide "chilled purified water" for attendees to cool down. This considerate gesture has received unanimous praise from the participants.
With full force and innovative efforts, we have achieved a new record
To meet the large-scale dining demands of SCC 2023 and provide excellent service to participants, the F&B team at GYICC has tailored healthy meals in line with the theme of cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment. This ensures that the attendees receive customized and nutritionally safe meals.
During the SCC 2023, GYICC F&B team prepared over 15,000 meal boxes, with more than 70 chefs working tirelessly on June 10th. Starting from 7 am, they completed over 8,000 meal boxes in a single day, setting a new record since the opening of GYICC! This high-quality catering service greatly facilitated the smooth running of the Congress.
The entire team of GYICC actively participated in frontline service. After receiving professional training, they lead the service staff to their assigned station. Multiple convenient "meal pickup points" were set up outside the venue, and an orderly and efficient meal collection process was established to ensure that conference participants could easily and quickly receive their meal boxes, thus guaranteeing the successful progress of SCC 2023.
