Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center will be completed in 2020

Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center, jointly developed and operated by Yuexiu Group and GL Events, is expected to be completed in 2020.The new International Congress Center with an area of 50,000 square meters is located in the northwest corner of the intersection of Jiefang North Road and Liuhua Road in Yuexiu District. The goal of the project is to build a comprehensive exhibition venue to promote the development of exhibitions and conferences.

Zhang Zhaoxing(Chairman of Yuexiu group) said that big exhibition venues were largely invested by the government before. But this time it was dominated by Guangzhou old state-owned enterprises, which reflected the social responsibility to assist of Guangzhou economic transition. With the arrival of Fortune Global Forum and other high-end international conferences in Guangzhou in 2017, it is believed that the cooperation between Chinese and French enterprises will promote the "internationalization" of Guangzhou's exhibition management and help Guangzhou become an important international communication center city in China. Yuexiu group has unique advantages in commercial real estate. With the support of the municipal government, Yuexiu group will make full use of the advantages of Guangzhou International exhibition industry and join hands with leading foreign exhibition companies to serve Guangzhou as an important International communication center city in China. The business center in Guangzhou attracts a lot of business activities. In the future, the city will actively attract International events to be holding here.

Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center will have two 2,400m2 exhibition halls, a 505-seat amphitheater and 47 multi-functional flexible Spaces suitable for group meetings. Among them, the congress center can hold up to 2,600 delegates in total, while the multi-functional flexible space can hold 50 to 800 people.

In terms of transportation, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is the third busiest airport in China, handling 65 million passengers last year. To accommodate the influx, the new terminal was opened in April, 2018 and is expected to receive 100 million passengers by 2025.
